Hot Art Wet City gallery presents the second annual Hot Talks in partnership with the Eastside Culture Crawl and curated by Rachael Ashe. Join us for an evening of intimate and entertaining talks by artists, designers, and craftspeople. The eight speakers represent a small cross-section of the wide variety of artists participating in the 2015 Culture Crawl. Each speaker will present their work, a peek into their studio, and share their process in a short “Show & Tell” style talk. Artists: Ben Z Cooper, Jacqueline Robins, Renée MacDonald, M.A.Tateishi, Ross den Otter, Simone Richmond, Toby Barratt / Propellor Design, & Christina Norberg.

Take a tour through comedian Graham Clark and friend’s Instagram accounts. An experimental free-wheeling evening of comedy based on the best app around with guests Sophie Buddle and Alicia Tobin.

Come Draw With Alicia Tobin and get some of her patented* comedic critique of your 5-minute drawings (*not actually patented). Host Sara Bynoe and her guests Ian Boothby, Rachel Burns, Eric Fell, Suzy Rawsome & Dylan Rhymer share stories from their teenage years and then sing a song related to their story. Then it’s an open mic for the audience to get in on the angsty teenage memories. Teen Angst Night is a juvenilia event that Sara has been running since 2000. If you were there for the Teenage Wasteland show at HAWC you might remember this storytelling show with karaoke.
